Terms & Conditions
These Terms govern your use of the SpendLens app and website, published by SpendLens (India). By using SpendLens you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptable use
Use SpendLens only for lawful, personal financial management. Do not misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, access other users' data, or reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law.
2. Your account & responsibility
You are responsible for the security of the device and Google account you use to access SpendLens, and for the accuracy of information you enter or approve.
3. Personal finance tool — no banking or advisory relationship
SpendLens is a personal finance tracking tool. It is not a bank, payment service, or financial, investment, tax or legal adviser, and using it does not create any such relationship. It cannot move money. Nothing in the app is financial advice.
4. Transaction accuracy limitations
SpendLens organises information you provide, import, or approve. Balances and figures reflect that data and may not match your bank's official records. You are responsible for verifying financial decisions against your bank.
5. SMS detection limitations (Android)
Automatic SMS transaction detection is optional and best-effort. It relies on heuristically parsing message text and may miss messages, misread values, or occasionally misclassify a message. Detected transactions are presented for your review; you are responsible for confirming them. Do not rely on it as a complete or authoritative record.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may modify or discontinue features.
7. Third-party services
SpendLens uses third-party services (such as Google Sign-In and our hosting provider). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies.
8. Intellectual property
SpendLens, its name, logo, and software are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the app; your own data remains yours.
9. Termination
You may stop using SpendLens and delete your account at any time via the deletion page. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or misuse.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any financial decision made using the app.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India having jurisdiction, unless a mandatory local law provides otherwise.
